Evaluation of different solvents and solubility parameters on the morphology and diameter of electrospun pullulan nanofibers for curcumin entrapment

In this work, the effect of different solvents and solvent binary mixtures on morphology electrospun pullulan (Pull) nanofibers was evaluated. The solution viscosities, interactions between polymer, as well as, vapor pressure, were correlated to diameters nanofibers. Water, dimethylformamide (DMF) dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) Teas graphs that rely use Hildebrand solubility parameters used identify most suitable solvents. best mixture produce Pull without defects with small (203±32 nm) DMF/DMSO in ratio 70/30 wt.%. containing 3 5 wt. % curcumin (Curc) a (70/30 wt.%) then obtained, entrapment efficiency evaluated using 1H NMR UV-–vis spectrophotometer. results obtained work create new approach for production drug delivery systems.
